The Kabbalist and the Pagan

I am amazed to find references of devotion to nature in 14th century kabbalist prayers and teachings. Within these writings are references to the directions, the elements, the forces of nature. How refreashing and enlightening it is to read Rabbis speak of the elements and earth with reverence. Thi shows that like the early christians and Jesus a ss well, the kabbalists honored the natural world and knew of its power. They recognized that to find the divine one must look no furthur than the trees, the animals, the windds.
